Primary Function:
Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Assurance/Quality Control program. Ensure construction-related processes and materials are compliant with contract specifications, regulatory standards, and the company's QA/QC policies and procedures. Mentor shop and field personnel to ensure QA/QC compliance and proper implementation of the QA Program. This QA Program’s main focus is for the Semiconductor and Microelectronic industries.
This individual must have QA/QC experience in the Semiconductor industry, specifically for cleanroom fabrication of stainless steel and PVDF/PFA piping systems.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Participate in new project planning. Determine the necessary inspection requirements and assist with necessary construction techniques. Develop and implement project-specific quality plan prior to each project start-up.
- Conduct regular audits and surveillances as well as unannounced walk-through inspections. Evaluate each project to ensure conformance and compliance with contractual specifications, government regulations, and companyQA/QC policies and procedures.
- Inspect manufactured products to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards.
- Document and communicate audit and surveillance results. Identify and recommend solutions for non-compliant situations. Follow-through to ensure 100% compliance and conformance.
- Attend all project coordination meetings. Provide QA/QC feedback for each phase of the project.
- Assess product, compliance, or operational risks. Assist with the development of risk management strategies.
- Mentor and train personnel to the QA Program. Disseminate written policies and procedures related to QA/QC activities.
- Interpret specifications and clarify procedural issues for staff, construction supervisors, and craft personnel.
- Develop and implement improvements in communication, monitoring, and adherence to compliance standards.
- Ensure the submittal of appropriate and timely compliance reports, as contractually required for each project.
- Clearly discuss violations and potential stop-work orders with project management and supervision. Lead conversations to recommend rectifications.
- Review final client turnover packages / documentation prior to submitting to the client.
- Train, direct and/or oversee subcontractor compliance, as necessary for complete compliance to company'sQA Program and client specifications.
- Assist with hiring and developing core employee base. Assist management and supervision with developing hiring plans and conducting workforce.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required; advanced education and technical training is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance Program management
- Experience in semiconductor/microelectronic industry is required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Nondestructive Testing (VT).
- Must be a current AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
- ASNT NDT Level III certification in Visual Testing (VT) is highly desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of semiconductor/microelectronic construction.
- Thorough knowledge of semiconductor/microelectronic policies, procedures and standards.
- Advanced knowledge of construction codes and standards (e.g., SEMI Standards, ASME B31.3, ASME Section V, and ASME Section IX.
- Must have outstanding team building and leadership skills.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems before major difficulties develop.
Salary : $90,000 - $135,000
