General Description
This position will work remotely and from WCJC Wharton Campus as needed to efficiently support the college's IT requirements.
The Part Time Help Desk Support is responsible for providing excellent customer service supporting first line response for students, faculty, and staff requiring assistance with information technology request. This position filters and escalates appropriate service requests to the Help Desk Technician or the Help Desk/Training Coordinator.
Requirements
This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of current office work experience or equivalent education (30 college credit hours) or a combination of work experience and education is required. Basic knowledge of internet browsers, operating systems and basic trouble-shooting techniques is required. Experience answering telephones, communicating effectively with a diverse end-user population, and providing instructions to users is required. A criminal background check is required.
