JOB TITLE: Night Warehouse Assistant Manager

DIRECT REPORT: Night Warehouse Operations Manager

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the organization, managing staff, and assisting of all warehouse operational processes. Coordinates with fellow warehouse managers all warehouse activities. Will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and managing warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accomplishes warehouse operations human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.
• Achieves warehouse operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits and HACCP compliance; identifying trends.
• Assists with warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
• Assists with warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Responsible for adhering to budget requirements and working toward obtaining departmental objectives and division goals.
• Responsible for ensuring that staff is complying with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Responsible for food safety and food handling.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by executive management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field is desirable.
• 5 years of management experience, preferably in a perishables food distribution, retail or wholesale environment.
• Strong attention to detail (both product and systems).
• Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures in warehouse and on loading dock.
• Physical strength to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to bend, reach, squat etc.. on a regular basis.
• Good visual acuity to inspect incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Good finger dexterity to input data into inventory records.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
