We’re MWB Restaurants, a rapidly growing Whataburger franchisee, and we’re looking for a Field Training Specialist to help us bring Whataburger to Knoxville! This isn’t just another training role — you’ll be at the forefront of launching new restaurants, developing strong teams, and shaping a culture of learning and growth across East Tennessee.
As a Field Training Specialist, you’ll ensure new restaurant openings run smoothly, coach and develop leaders, and create training experiences that set our teams up for long-term success. If you’re passionate about training, operations, and making an impact, we want to meet you!
HEADS UP: This role will require travel and hands-on training in Alabama for the first several months. Paid travel and training included!
What You'll Do:
- Train and develop teams to deliver top-notch guest experiences and run smooth operations
- Lead training for new restaurant openings, making sure teams are ready to hit the ground running
- Coach and mentor leaders, helping them grow their skills and confidence
- Make training fun and engaging, bringing energy and clarity to every session
- Work with restaurant leaders to spot training needs and build solutions that work
- Keep training materials fresh, easy to understand, and aligned with our brand standards
- Travel to locations to train, support, and inspire teams in person
- Help roll out new initiatives, making sure teams are set up for success

This Job Is For You If:
- You have at least years of experience managing a team and leading training efforts
- You’ve been a General Manager or higher well-known brands like McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Culver’s, or similar
- You bring deep expertise in restaurant operations, from budgets and food safety to P&L and beyond
- You love coaching and developing people to be their best
- You know how to connect with all levels of a team, from crew members to senior leaders
- You’re organized and can juggle multiple training projects without missing a beat
- You’re comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, training platforms, and learning new systems
- You can read reports and spot trends to improve training and performance
- You have a solid understanding of budgets and how restaurants operate
