Summary
Whatcom County District Court is seeking a Clerk/Receptionist.
This is the primary individual responsible for answering incoming phone calls and responding to customer questions or referring to the appropriate staff member or department personnel. Also prioritizes incoming court documents, processes and files documents, and performs tasks associated with preparation of various District Court hearing calendars.

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary Range: MCBA- Range 107.0Hiring rate depends on qualifications. This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the associated salary range (apx. 3.8%) subject to satisfactory performance, in addition to any negotiated Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).
Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma AND two years of progressively responsible general office, clerical and/or secretarial experience.
Experience in a criminal justice setting and knowledge of legal terminology is preferred.
Background check must meet County criteria for criminal justice positions.
