What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Assistant position at Whatcom Sports & Recreation - Sportsplex?
- Duties:
- Provide a hospitable environment for guests and user groups upon entering the Sportsplex
- Effectively communicate Sportsplex program details and services to guests and user groups
- Oversee proper use of POS systems and computers from back end to payment processing
- Running daily deposits and accounts receivable reports
- Other office duties as they arise

- Skills/Competencies:
- Able to quickly learn new computer systems
- POS experience: payment processing, cash handling, and balancing daily deposits
- Extremely efficient and organized – Detail Oriented
- Able to work independently
- Previous history and/or interest in sports, kids, non-profits, or community focused business

- Relationships:
- Position reports directly to Office Manager
- Position is directly serving guests who enter building via front window

- Hours:
- This position is approx. 10-25 hours a week
- Open Monday-Sunday
- Weekend availability Saturday and Sunday is a MUST
- We are open 8am-11pm (ish)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
