Role
We are looking for an experienced business development professional with a demonstrable record of building successful commercial relationships with major strategic partners. The Senior Manager, Business Development will report into the Head of Business Development and be responsible for negotiating and managing business critical relationships with a range of partners, including shipping and logistics companies, payment providers, technology platforms, major global brands, and other key partnerships. In this role you will :
- Build and manage alliances with strategic partners by defining joint roadmaps, driving execution against those, delivering commercial advantage and maintaining strong partner relations to ensure that the experiences we build together are the best possible for users, and support our strategic priorities, partners' goals and Whatnot's mission.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams across Whatnot (marketing, operations, customer success, legal, product, and engineering).
- Identify, evaluate and negotiate corporate development opportunities.
- Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment.
Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our San Francisco, New York or Los Angeles hubs.

Compensation
For Full-Time (Salary) US-based applicants : $225,000 / year to $285,000 / year benefits equity.
The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity.
