JOB SUMMARY
zTrip Fixed Route Drivers are responsible for safe, courteous and timely delivery of customers between all stops on their designated bus route.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF A FIXED ROUTE DRIVER:
- Providing safe, dependable, friendly, high-quality transportation services.
- Punctuality and dependability in meeting scheduled work hours and transportation requirements.
- Proper vehicle care through thorough inspections, appropriate driving practices, cleaning, and minor maintenance.
- Maintain the passenger rights and transportation practices mandated by the Americans With Disabilities Act.
- Handling financial transactions, including cash, and maintaining and promptly turning in accurate paperwork related to each transaction.
- Guiding and assisting people into and out of vehicles.
- Providing information about bus routes and schedules, and conducting other communications with all employees in a professional and respectful manner.
- Providing suggestions and contributing to improvement of the operation.
- Providing information and brochures to customers and potential customers.
- Communicating with manager to identify as soon as possible any requests for time off.
- Frequent entry and exit of vehicles in a variety of weather and temperature conditions. Work can include night and/or daytime driving in wet, icy, or snowy conditions.
- Ability to lift 50-pound (and occasionally heavier) into and out of a vehicle, or onto or off of a bike rack, utilizing proper lifting procedures.
