Human Resources Lead and Accounting Support

The Human Resources Lead performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resource and Accounting Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Daily checkout reports, bank deposits, and change for cash drawers
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
• Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
• Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
• Provides clerical support to the HR department
• Performs payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors
• Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers
• Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, and retirement celebrations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not necessary
• Previous HR and bookkeeping experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system and similar computer applications
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities
• Self-directed, with ability to work successfully both independently and as a team member
• Strong sense of privacy and confidentiality
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• Paylocity Payroll system experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual Salary Range including bonuses: $55,000-65,000 
• Monthly sales-goal based bonuses up to $800
