About the Role
As a Night Shift Production Operator at Maverick Pipe, Rantoul, IL, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality piping and strut products. You will contribute to maintaining a safe and clean working environment while following safety protocols and conducting quality inspections. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to maintaining high standards in production.
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sun-Wed OR Wed-Sat (Employees work every other Wednesday)
Pay: $21/Hour
What You’ll Do
- Operate production machinery – Ensures timely completion of tasks while meeting production goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area – Follows company policies and safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Perform quality inspections – Monitors product to ensure compliance with specifications and promptly reports defects or deviations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members – Fosters a positive team environment by working well with others and following leadership direction.
- Meet attendance and performance standards – Demonstrates excellent attendance, reporting to work as scheduled and minimizing unplanned absences.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in production or operations.
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Technical Skills – Ability to operate production machinery and perform quality inspections.
- Soft Skills – Strong communication, attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Additional Qualifications – Ability to work in noisy, dusty environments and wear appropriate PPE as required.
Physical Abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and performing inspections.
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
