ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Special Education teacher in a District 200 middle school functions as a case manager for students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Most of the case management duties lie within one of the following four domains :
1. Individualized instruction
- Regular data collection
- Tailor curriculum and instruction to the individual educational needs of each student as identified on the IEP
2. Consultative services and collaboration
3. Attendance at IEP meetings and conferences.
4. Paperwork, reporting, and communication
