Job Summary
Wheelchair Express Sioux Falls is seeking a full-time internal bookkeeper and administrative assistant to help run its office. We are a nonemergency medical transportation company that provides rides to people with special mobility or cognitive needs. This is an in-office position from 9-5 (or 8:30-4:30) Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
As a small business, every Wheelchair Express Sioux Falls employee plays a critical role in helping us make sure people make it to their appointments safely and reliably. As our internal bookkeeper, you will maintain and track Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You will also be our point of contact for billing and payment questions. Depending on expertise, you may also be asked to run payrolls. As an administrative assistant, you will help keep the office organized by managing supplies, filing and securing information, and dealing with correspondence. You will also interact directly with our customers by helping our operations staff schedule appointments.
Skills and Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have education or experience with small-business bookkeeping. Familiarity with QuickBooks and Excel is a plus, as is payroll knowledge. A professional telephone manner, solid written communication skills, and an organized and detail-oriented mindset are essential.
Due to the nature of our business, Wheelchair Express Sioux Falls employees must follow the company’s HIPAA and Fraud Waste and Abuse policies.
