Director of Nursing – Critical Care
Location : Memphis, TN
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8am – 5pm with 24 / 7 on-call availability
Pay Range : $100k / year DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing – Critical Care to oversee and lead our critical care departments, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and efficient operations. This role is responsible for managing the ICU, PCU, Float Pool , and serving as a liaison for tissue and organ donation services . With 32 total beds (16 ICU, 16 Stepdown), this position plays a key role in maintaining clinical excellence and operational success.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the ICU, PCU, and Float Pool , ensuring high-quality care and compliance with hospital standards.
Manage staff and resources effectively, including contract services for tissue and organ donation.
Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to a multidisciplinary team of nurses and healthcare professionals.
Monitor departmental performance metrics and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
Serve as a key resource for critical care nursing practices, staff development, and team-building initiatives.
Qualifications
Required :
Associate degree in nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN.
At least 2 years of manager-level experience or higher (experience in a different department is acceptable).
Strong knowledge of critical care / ICU with recent hospital experience. Preferred :
Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or a healthcare-related field.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high-quality care standards.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with hospital leadership.
Team and Oversight
Responsible for 32 total beds : 16 ICU and 16 Stepdown (PCU).
Oversight includes direct reports from the ICU, PCU, Float Pool , and contract services related to tissue and organ donation.
Education Requirements
Required : Associate degree in nursing (ADN) with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
Preferred : MSN or a master’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
