POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Network Infrastructure manages and implements new networks and/or supports current networks in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner, providing enhancements, security and maintenance support for existing systems. Provides expert technical assistance in cloud and network planning, engineering, and architecture; identifies and implements network modifications and/or new products that will enhance performance or resolve problems; tests new network software prior to new or modified software going into production. Strategically plans for future network and IT infrastructure changes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field plus 7 years of progressively responsible experience supporting MS Office 365 systems, MS server environments and network administration functions is required, MS certification is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Azure networking, virtualization, standard firewall routing, wifi management and advanced networking, working knowledge of Microsoft server environment, PC experience with hardware with MS Intune, software, operating Systems and Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Entra, and excellent written and oral communication skills are also required. Two years of supervisory experience required. Prior experience in a healthcare environment and Azure Virtual Desktop remote application publishing or Citrix is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the IT infrastructure performance and security.
Implements and maintains policies and procedures for IT infrastructure usage throughout the organization
Facilitates annual Risk Assessments, Vendor security review, and other IT infrastructure vulnerability assessments.
Takes a lead role in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure company wide.
Proactively identifies new software and/or utilities to enhance the security of the overall IT environment.
Oversees Azure cloud environment, including monitoring performance, security, and cost.
Manages software licenses on a company-wide basis.
Helps decide, in conjunction with corporate leadership, which software and hardware products and other equipment are most suited for use within Wheeler’s infrastructure.
Provides system administration support and maintenance functions as necessary.
Develops task/project requirements, specifications and project plans.
Acts as technical lead on IT related projects.
Plans and implements network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, Office365 / Exchange health, spam filtering, cyber security and adding and deleting users.
Demonstrates leadership by reinforcing positive behavior and promoting recognition through the use of effective employee evaluations, employee appreciation, effective hiring practices, and accountability.
