What You’ll Do :
The Packaging Engineer leads the design, development, testing, and optimization of packaging solutions that support our diverse product portfolio. The Packaging Engineer utilizes strategic vision and hands-on execution to ensure our packaging meets functional, aesthetic, sustainability, and cost objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Designs innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging for a range of products, from large appliances to small accessories and consumables.
Collaborates with product design, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand standards and product requirements.
Develops retail-ready packaging that enhances shelf presence, meets retailer guidelines, and drives consumer engagement.
Works closely with marketing teams to integrate visual elements, branding, and user experience into packaging design.
Engineers protective packaging solutions optimized for direct shipment from factories in the US and Asia to end customers.
Develops and validates drop-test and environmental performance standards for e-commerce packaging.
Drives initiatives to reduce environmental impact through sustainable materials, efficient designs, and optimized supply chain logistics.
Ensures packaging complies with global regulatory requirements and retailer-specific mandates.
Partners with manufacturing teams in the US and Asia to ensure seamless production and implementation of packaging designs.
Coordinates with suppliers and third-party vendors to source materials and manage packaging prototypes.
Conducts packaging performance testing and failure analysis, leveraging insights to optimize designs.
Stays up-to-date on packaging trends, technologies, and materials to drive innovation.
Will perform additional responsibilities when required
Requirements : What You’ll Bring :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and / or equivalent years of experience
4 years of experience in packaging design and engineering, preferably in consumer electronics, appliances or related industries
Proven expertise in managing packaging for a range of product sizes and types, including large appliances and smaller consumables
Experience with both retail-ready and e-commerce packaging solutions
Proficiency in CAD software and packaging-specific tools (e.g., Creo)
Knowledge of ISTA testing protocols, materials science, and manufacturing processes
Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics as it relates to packaging design
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and project management abilities
Familiarity with global packaging sustainability practices and regulations
Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
