We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dishwasher/Dietary Aide to join our team in a Memory Care setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the food service department by assisting with food preparation, sanitation, washing dishes and ensuring that dietary needs are met for residents. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of food items according to dietary guidelines and menus.
- Ensure that all food production areas are clean, organized, and sanitized in compliance with health regulations.
- Ensure all dishes all washed according to healthcare setting standards.
- Help serve meals to patients, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are adhered to.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to promote a safe food service environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Participate in training sessions related to food safety and sanitation practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dishwasher or Dietary Aide or in a food service role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food production processes and sanitation standards within the food industry is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and staff.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail in all tasks related to food preparation and service.
