We currently have an opening for a Social & Multimedia Specialist. This position plays a pivotal role in amplifying our brand presence and fostering community engagement across various social media platforms, web and digital assets. It is crucial that you give a consistent voice through creative copy and visual storytelling and showcase that across all media. You have the opportunity to shape the digital narrative of our brand, connecting with our audience and showcasing the best of 417-land.
Additional duties include:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the publication's brand identity and goals. The initiatives may include but are not limited to magazine features, events, partnerships and community events.
- Create engaging and compelling multimedia content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Spotify, Youtube, and TikTok.
- Storyboard, film, direct and edit video content for our brands and paid partnership content for social media.
- Coordinate paid partnership content with clients and professional videographers for longform video work.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of all social media channels, including planning and scheduling posts, responding to comments and monitoring engagement metrics.
- Research and propose paid social partnership ideas to drive revenue growth in unique ways ensuring our brand remains in alignment.
The ideal candidate will excel in professional communication, have a strong attention to detail, demonstrate good judgment and the ability to evaluate tasks and prioritize effectively.
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Video Journalism, or related field required, with 2-5 years work experience (excellent internship experience counts).
Evaluations and Outcomes:
- The position will be evaluated after 90 days with reviews three times per year.
