Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and fabricating piping systems according to specifications. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques, particularly Stick, Tig and other welding, and a strong understanding of pipe threading and plumbing principles. The Pipe Welder will work primarily on construction sites, ensuring that all welds are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Build and fabricate piping systems as per project specifications.
- Perform Stick, Tig welding and other welding techniques to join metal components effectively.
- Utilize basic math skills to calculate measurements and ensure accurate fittings.
- Thread pipes and plumb systems according to engineering drawings.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and within scope.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Pipe Welder or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with using calipers and other measuring tools for precise work is essential.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding and construction site operations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.
