PERMIT TECHNICIAN

Job Description

Job Overview:

White Aluminum & Windows seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit Technician to join our team. This role supports our Sr. Project Manager by ensuring all permits are submitted and obtained accurately and on time. The Permit Technician will also work closely with the sales team, production department, and Branch Manager to streamline processes and support branch success. This position requires a professional demeanor, a customer-focused attitude, and strong administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and deliver permits to the Sr. Project Manager on time
• Work directly with local permit departments to secure required documentation
• Maintain accurate records and status logs of all permits
• Collaborate with the production department to address and resolve permit-related issues
• Communicate any changes, concerns, or updates impacting branch operations
• Assist the sales team with permit paperwork and issue resolution
• Support the Branch Manager and Sr. Project Manager with various administrative tasks
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; college education or equivalent experience preferred
• Previous experience with permitting or in the construction industry is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be reliable, honest, and possess a strong work ethic
• Friendly and professional demeanor
• Must have reliable transportation
• Background check, drug screening, and a clean driving record are required
