Job Title: Permit Coordinator
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager(s)
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY:
The Permitting Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the permitting process for bath & shower installation projects. This role requires a deep understanding of local, state, and federal regulations, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and collaboration with production managers, government agencies, clients, and internal teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Permit Coordination & Applications:
· Coordinate with the Production/Installation Department on needed permits and timelines.
· Apply for, complete, and file permit applications.
· After the permit is issued, call the building dept. and verify all inspections.
· Research building codes and building department requirements.
· Work with multiple government agencies to secure necessary permits.
· Register for building department access and update all licensing as needed.
2. Permit Tracking & Compliance:
· Track and follow up on all permit applications from start to finish, including processing, resubmittals, and handling rejection letters via CRM (LP), Permitting Municipalities, & Production Spreadsheets.
· Maintain and update the CRM (LeadPerfection) database with all permit information.
3. Inspections & Scheduling:
· Schedule and verify all required inspections with the building department.
· Call in all in-progress and final inspections after installation is scheduled, ensuring alignment with the installer’s schedule.
· After install is scheduled, verify inspection timeline with installation.
4. Customer & Documentation Management:
· Attach order confirmations in the CRM database and update homeowners on scheduling.
· Confirm homeowners’ payments and job status.
· Obtain ARC Documents via HOA.
· Reconfirm install dates and installer arrival times with customers when time permits.
· Verify that Completion Form documents have been filed and uploaded into LeadPerfection by the installer.
5. Administrative Support:
· Assist with administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in plumbing and construction permitting (Required).
· Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting regulations.
· Experience with CRM software (LeadPerfection preferred).
Language Skills:
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret building codes and governmental regulations.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
· Ability to calculate figures such as permit fees and job costs.
Reasoning Ability:
· Ability to apply logical reasoning to solve permitting issues and streamline processes.
Computer Skills:
· Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and database management.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
