Machine Operator

White Bear Machine, Inc has career opportunities available on 1st shift in the following departments.

WELDING, PRESS BRAKE, MACHINING, LASER CUTTING, SPOT WELDING and GENERAL SHOP HELP.

Duties

• Set up and operate a wide variety of machines and fabricating equipment used to build metal components.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for bending operations.
• Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in fabrication.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
• Work collaboratively with team members to assemble parts and ensure timely production schedules are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Operate additional machinery as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a machine operator in a similar role within the metal fabrication industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and tooling effectively.
• Experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift materials as needed during the fabrication process.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
