Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Establish and lead the team responsible for seamlessly connecting and integrating White Cap’s enterprise applications, data, and processes.
- Lead the development and support of White Cap’s enterprise middleware components and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a modern, secure, performant, reliable and cost-effective middleware environment.
- Accelerate integration of third-party software solutions, including Oracle EBS and Salesforce.com.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Leverage Agile delivery practices to design, deliver and support enterprise software components.
- Establish, measure, and report relevant Service Level Objectives (SLO) and KPIs for White Cap’s software services.
- Ensure code quality, security, and performance through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to develop and enforce best practices for software development including coding standards, testing practices, and deployment processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our solutions at the forefront of innovation.
- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
- Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 7 years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline
- 8 years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on middleware and API development
- 5 years of people management experience
- 3 years of experience delivering applications hosted in a public cloud
- Experience with iPaaS technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, API Management or Oracle Integration Cloud
- Experience with code quality and security vulnerability tools
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting platforms
- Experience with DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines
- Experience delivering solutions utilizing microservices architecture
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Azure middleware components including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a plus
