Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Home Care to lead our healthcare team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of resident rights, medical terminology, and home health systems. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of care through effective management, budgeting, and supervision of care plans. The Home Care Director plays an integral role in ensuring that individuals receive compassionate and effective care within their own homes. This position oversees the coordination and administration of home care services, focusing on maintaining high standards of care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the efficient operation of the home care program. By leading a team of healthcare professionals, the Home Care Director ensures that services are delivered in a manner that respects the dignity and preferences of each client. The role involves strategic planning, staff management, and continuous improvement of service delivery to meet the evolving needs of clients and their families, ensuring a positive impact on the community’s health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of home care staff, ensuring a high level of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of clients receiving home care services.
• Manage the financial operations of the home care agency, including budgeting, billing, and payroll, to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to create personalized care plans for clients.
• Evaluate the quality of care provided by staff through regular assessments and client feedback, making adjustments as necessary to improve service delivery.
• Facilitate communication between clients, families, and the home care agency to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with services.
• Implement marketing strategies to promote the home care agency’s services within the community, increasing awareness and attracting new clients.
• Research and integrate new technologies and methodologies in home care to enhance operational efficiency and improve client outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably in home care or similar environments.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices relevant to patient care.
• Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively within a healthcare framework. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
• In-depth understanding of resident rights and commitment to advocating for them within the care environment.
• Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of documentation and reporting.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
