Position Overview
White House Foods is seeking an experienced and driven Human Resources Director to join our team. This full-time, on-site role will be based in Winchester, VA, and reports directly to company ownership. The Human Resources Director will oversee HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and ensure compliance with labor and employment laws. In this role, you will play a key part in the development, training, and growth of our most valued assets—our associates and stakeholders—while working to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures across the organization.
- Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with labor and employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain and manage our cross-training matrix to help employees develop new skills and meet business objectives.
- Support and mentor leadership teams to foster a high-performing culture at all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with various departments, including manufacturing and agriculture operations, to meet resource and HR needs.
- Promote a family-oriented, culture-first environment that aligns with the company’s values and mission.
- Lead initiatives to evolve the organization into a "learned" organization focused on growth and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic HR guidance to leadership while remaining hands-on in day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Human Resources, employee relations, and performance management.
- In-depth knowledge of labor and employment law.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR issues effectively.
- Previous experience in the food or agriculture industry is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive work environment and a commitment to building a family-oriented culture.
