Summary:
The Medicine Bow Creamery at Brush Creek Ranch is looking to hire a seasonal goat herder to be part of our farmstead goat cheese operation. Employees will be part of a small team managing all aspects of goat care, daily milking chores, assisting with cheese makes, and leading guest experiences.
This position will be a year-round position. Compensation includes a bi-weekly salary, shared housing or monthly housing stipend, end of season bonus, and meals.
Responsibilities
Daily milking and cleaning chores
- Bottle feed kids and manage cleanup daily.
- Cleaning barns daily
- Ensuring goats have access to fresh water and feed daily.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and livestock handling facilities necessary to livestock production.
- Assist with all aspects of animal husbandry as needed.

Minimum requirements:
Preferred candidates would have milking and animal husbandry experience. Previous goat care and veterinary experience a plus.
- Lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time - frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Good communicators
- Willingness to get dirty and handle animals.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
