An overview of this position entails…This position is responsible for the direct frontline supervision of assigned Activity Specialists and in planning, coordinating, and implementing activities for the residents at The Life Adjustment Program. This position will also oversee the implementation of activity-enriched lifestyles for participants utilizing these seven dimensions of wellness: social, intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual, environmental, and vocational. This role collaborates closely with Care Staff, Activity Specialists, and Volunteers to achieve these objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior consistent with Hilltop's Life Adjustment Program values, including Service 1, how we treat each other, and Service 2, how we treat residents. This involves setting boundaries, being predictable, consistent, kind, and transparent.
2. Conduct oneself as a leader by taking ownership of the program, ensuring quality of care and commitment to the betterment and growth of the Life Adjustment Program. Offers solutions, develops processes, promotes communication with others, and supports communication from staff to management. Prioritizes tasks and brings concerns to supervisors/managers when necessary.
3. Develops and implements the resident activity calendar in collaboration with residents, staff, families, and the community.
4. Utilizes behavior management techniques according to residents’ care plans, reporting any concerns or changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
5. Monitors and directs all aspects of resident care and behavior management during shifts, leveraging resources as needed.
6. Troubleshoots challenges during shifts and leverages appropriate resources to address them effectively.
7. Works with management to maintain adequate staffing levels based on residents’ needs, workload, and scheduled activities.
8. Actively engages in staff problem-solving, provides growth opportunities by soliciting input, and delivers constructive feedback to support professional development.
9. Reviews and processes staff timesheets for accuracy, ensuring compliance with all policies.
10. Assists in training staff on all aspects of resident care and operational duties.
11. Documents regular feedback for assigned staff and contributes to formal performance evaluations.
12. Verifies timely and accurate completion of resident documentation in line with care plans.
13. Performs subordinate duties as needed to support the team and ensure seamless operations. May be required to assist in other roles as census and staffing needs occur.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), plus two years of related experience and one year of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 21 years of age required.

• Proof of current automobile Insurance (required)
• CPR Certificate/First Aid Certificate (preferred)
• Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) Certification (preferred)

• Hilltop’s Transportation Certification (preferred)
