ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consult, contract and partner with program leadership to develop and deliver initiatives that address program and business needs. Such initiatives may include coaching, mentoring, training, recruitment, retention, employee relations, performance management, skills development, engagement, wellbeing, employee experience, disciplinary actions, policies, procedures, practices, leadership development, and mission and values integration.
- Initiate regular consultations with program leadership teams to define priorities, objectives and key results (OKRs). Effectively connect these to PeopleOps team and personal priorities and OKRs.
- Track, analyze and share data related to agreed-upon KPIs.
- Manage and/or assists with department functions which could include: Learning & Development, Performance Management, Compliance, Leave Management, Employee Engagement, Employee Wellbeing, Benefits, and Recruiting.
- Partner with People Operations Director and program leadership to provide organizational development and change management initiatives to promote organizational and employee success. This may include restructures, workforce and succession planning, talent reskilling/upskilling, responding to internal and external forces, and developing/delivering trainings, etc.
- Actively seek out, apply, and educate leadership on information related to general employment law, compliance, regulations, etc., related to assigned programs.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues which includes conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations, managing and supporting supervisors with unemployment insurance claims, and other issues.
- Provide recruitment, leave and workers compensation administration support at strategic and leadership-level to program leadership.
- Train, coach, and develop People Ops team members in human resource functions.
- Attend weekly or bi-weekly leadership meetings with PeopleOps team and assigned programs.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently and intentionally represents, models and operationalizes Hilltop’s mission and values; actively works to integrate them with their own.
- Align personal and staff goals and daily activities with the visions, values, and strategies of the organization, assigned programs, and PeopleOps team.
- Serve and lead without judgement to help people grow, gain confidence, and reach their full potential.
- Maintain an understanding of assigned programs’ business, operations, priorities, culture and competition and applies that understanding when consulting and delivering services.
- Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate a commitment to meeting customers’ needs. Regularly evaluate the degree to which customers’ needs are being met.
- Establish OKRs, analyze trends, identify metrics, and develop dashboards to define team and individual accountabilities, enhance understanding and inform decision-making.
- Support broader People Operations initiatives as requested.
- Proactively seeks development opportunities and strives to grow and improve.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP Certification (preferred)
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License
