White Mountain Regional Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital located in the White Mountains of Arizona. We offer a variety of clinical services that are supported by the inpatient pharmacy. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to contribute to our culture of teamwork and professionalism.
This position is safety sensitive and subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.
PRN Position Available - Non-Benefitted
- Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree or have graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Previous inpatient hospital experience preferred
- Possess a current Pharmacist licensure in the State of Arizona
- Demonstrated exceptional human relation and communication skills
- Ability to relate and work with a diverse group of individuals
- BLS certification
DUTIES:
- Provides services within the licensure of a pharmacist in the State of Arizona, to include the acquisition, storage and dispensing of pharmaceuticals ordered by physicians.
- Reviews orders, maintains patient profiles and evaluates drug/food interactions to assure effective and cost-efficient dosing.
- Maintains a hospital formulary and assures that the acquisition, storage, dispensing and documentation of all pharmaceutical and narcotics is performed in a safe and effective manner and meets the standards outlined by the Arizona Board of Pharmacy, DEA, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Arizona Department of Health and Joint Commission.
- Serves as the pharmacist, supervises other pharmacy personnel. Assists with hospital quality activities as required, including, but not limited to, pharmacokinetic dosing, performing medical records audits, data collection and analysis, medication reconciliation, drug utilization reviews, antimicrobial stewardship activities, etc.
