We are seeking an experienced Field Project Manager to oversee and manage low voltage and fiber optic cabling projects. Acccess control experience is a plus!
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in low-voltage and fiber optic cabling
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with project planning tools, budgeting, and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations
- Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight travel
- Basic computer skills

Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Surveys & Project Planning
- Conduct detailed site surveys to gather essential information for project planning.
- Develop comprehensive project plans with clear timelines, resource allocation, and a Bill of Materials (BOM).
2. Team Management
- Lead and coordinate a team of installation technicians, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to project timelines.
- Provide clear direction, support, and training to ensure all team members follow safety and quality standards.
3. Client Communication
- Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing concerns and providing timely updates.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Technical Oversight
- Review blueprints, technical drawings, and other project documentation to ensure accurate implementation.
- Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and client specifications.
5. Quality Control
- Conduct final walkthroughs to verify that installations meet company quality standards.
- Identify and address any deficiencies, ensuring corrective actions are taken immediately.
6. Financial Management
- Oversee project budgets to maintain cost control and avoid overruns.
- Track expenses and adjust resources as needed to stay within budget.
7. Reporting
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and clients, highlighting progress, milestones, and potential challenges.
- Develop and implement project standards and procedures to improve consistency and overall quality.
8. Training & Development
- Train and mentor new installers, ensuring they understand and adhere to company standards and industry best practices.
9. Trailer Organization & Inventory Management
- Maintain organized trailers and manage inventory effectively to ensure equipment and materials are readily available for projects.
