White River Valley Unified District (WRUD), located in the scenic White River Valley of Vermont, is a proud member of the White River Valley Supervisory Union (WRVSU). Our Bethel and South Royalton Elementary Schools serve students from PreK to 5th grade. We are excited to welcome a new school counselor to our Bethel campus, as part of our commitment to building a community of engaged and successful learners.We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate school counselor who is aligned with the Vermont School Counselor Comprehensive Model. The ideal candidate will support the academic, social/emotional, and career development of every student, helping them thrive in the classroom, contribute positively to the school community, and build a foundation for lifelong success and well-being.Qualifications: Current Vermont Department of Education licensure as a school counselor.Previous teaching or supervisory experience is desirable.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative skills.Experience with and knowledge of technology and telecommunications in a school setting.Performance Responsibilities: Support the schools mission and contribute to the achievement of the schools goals.Advocate for equity and access for all students, considering the unique needs of our diverse student population.Provide counseling support in three key areas: academic, social/emotional, and career development.Tier 1: Universal core curriculum for all students.Tier 2: Data-informed, targeted support for some students.Tier 3: Intensive support for a few students.Collaborate with administrators, staff, students, parents, and community members to ensure student success.Use time and resources efficiently to provide direct and indirect services to students, focusing on achieving the goals of the school counseling program.
