The White River Unified District (WRUD), located in the beautiful and picturesque White River Valley of Vermont and is a member district of the White River Valley Supervisory Union (https://wrvsu.org). Bethel and South Royalton Elementaries school serves PreK-5th grade students. We currently have an opening for a Coordinator of Student Supports. Position Description: The Coordinator of Student Supports is charged with assisting in the sustainability of a positive school climate for relevant and purposeful learning (grades PreK-12). The position is charged with working in conjunction with the members of the PreK-12 social/emotional team(s) to ensure all students are supported socially/emotionally in order to reach their greatest potential. Qualifications: Masters in education preferred; with a background in student management, and experience with a systems approach to social/emotional supports desired.
The Coordinator of Student Supports must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work cooperatively in a team setting to assist in identifying needs/resources for students who require either a targeted/intensive social/emotional and/or academic intervention plan. Significant experience working with students who have social/emotional needs is preferred. Effective written and oral communication skills are required. Responsibilities: Co-responds proactively and reactively to behavior with principals (grades PreK-12) Co-facilitates the social/emotional universal teams (grades PreK-5, 6-8 and 9-12) Co-facilitates the targeted/intensive social/emotional teams (grades PreK-5, 6-8 and 9-12) Serves as a resource to staff and families in dealing with social/emotional concerns Serves as the PBiS coach Serves as the HHB and Title IX Investigator Maintains a systematic approach to attendance that also results in proactive supports to assist with chronic absenteeism Coordination of CIRS Reporting and other Social/Emotional Data collection for the White River Unified District Any other assignment as requested by the administration to support the school and students The White River Valley is approximately 25 minutes from Killington/Pico Ski Resort and 12 miles from Saskadena Six ski mountain.
