Assistant Controller
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Controller with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, process-driven, and capable of maintaining accuracy in complex financial environments. A strong working knowledge of NetSuite is required, and familiarity with QuickBooks Online is preferred. Candidates with experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments, particularly in the service sector will be given strong consideration.

What you will be Doing:
• Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Manage intercompany transactions, consolidations, and multi-currency accounting across entities.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Oversee ticketing systems for accounting and operational workflows (e.g., FieldCap or similar).
• Serve as the NetSuite subject matter expert, optimizing usage and integrating with other platforms as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and external auditors to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit readiness.
• Perform data modeling and advanced analysis using Excel (including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas).
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
• Support special projects, ad hoc reporting, and financial modeling efforts.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred but not required).
• 5 years of Assistant Controller experience in a corporate accounting environment.
• Proven hands-on experience with NetSuite and familiarity with QuickBooks Online.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, including consolidations and intercompany transactions.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close practices; experience leading audits or financial reviews preferred.
• Background in the service industry highly preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting ticketing systems such as FieldCap or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
