A global alternative asset manager with over $200B in AUM is seeking an Associate to join its newly formed investment operations team, established following a recent acquisition. This multifaceted role will be involved in key aspects of the trade lifecycle for alternative credit, including loan operations, treasury, and portfolio reporting. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days in office.

- Oversee operational aspects of the Alternative Credit investment portfolio, covering private asset-based finance loans, forward flow purchase arrangements, loan portfolio purchases, equity investments, real estate debt and equity investments, and equipment and aircraft leases
- Manage investment lifecycle from origination to exit, handling corporate actions, amendments, and restructures
- Set up and maintain investments within internal systems, process loan draws and repayments, generate borrower and lender notices, create wire transfers, and record transactions in accounting systems
- Coordinate closing and onboarding of new investments, preparing operational documentation, memos, and investment structure charts
- Facilitate interactions between borrowers, third-party lenders, joint venture partners, servicers, investment professionals, and administrators
- Perform daily cash reconciliations, monitor custodian accounts, and assist with treasury functions, including liquidity planning and leverage facility management
- Provide analysis and recommendations to senior leadership on treasury decisions, capital calls, and distributions
- Support FX hedge management and internal system initiatives for treasury and accounting
- Ideal candidates will come from a fund operations group at a credit fund (preferred), hedge fund, or sell-side bank, with a strong understanding of private credit instruments and loan operations.
- Solid experience working within accounting systems, including booking entries across asset classes. Familiarity with systems like FM3, WSO, or Geneva is a plus.
- Experience with treasury functions such as wire movements, FX hedging, and capital calls is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Excellent academic credentials with a foundation in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience, ideally in direct lending, credit origination, or a related field. Experience in credit and loan operations is highly valued.
