Our client is seeking a Consumer Product Attorney for a temporary position to provide legal support on a specific project. This role will focus on consumer promotions, on-package copy, and promotion-related rules, along with associated legal activities. The attorney will report directly to the General Counsel leading the project and will also receive support from the North America legal team. This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days onsite in Parsippany, NJ, and two days remote.

- Review packaging and labeling for food products to ensure compliance with the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as well as other regulatory requirements.
- Review advertising and promotional materials, including point-of-sale materials, coupons, press releases, websites, digital and eCommerce content, social media, print, television, and more.
- Assist with special situations and projects as needed.
- Provide guidance on intellectual property matters.
- Create product labeling files from technical specifications.
- Manage the general contract repository.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in New Jersey.
- 3-5 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on advertising law, food law, and intellectual property, ideally gained at a top law firm or corporation (experience in the food and beverage industry or another CPG company is preferred).
- Knowledge of FDA and FTC regulations is preferred.
- General commercial legal experience, including counseling on marketing/advertising, commercial contracts, and IP/trademark protection, is also preferred.
- Experience reviewing marketing materials and consumer promotions for consumer products.
