Hybrid Accountant

Our client, a premier quantitative investment firm, is looking to hire a Senior Finance & Accounting Associate to their team because of growth of their platform. Their office has unbelievable views of the statue of liberty, fully stocked pantry, three state of the art gyms, bright artwork/colors, cool furniture/common areas, floor to ceiling glass boardrooms, beer/wine on tap, and ping pong tables. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office and 2 days from home.

Job Function

• Assist with the monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the firm's investment platform
• Assist with strategic budgeting and forecasting
• Work closely with the firm's trade support teams, investor relations and pricing teams
• Work closely with the firm's finance leadership, including the CFO, on a number of strategic projects
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Strong academic background
• 1-4 years of experience
• Active CPA license, or significant progress towards receiving it
• Strong understanding of investment accounting, particularly in a quantitative trading environment
• Knowledge of broker-deal regulatory requirements
• Experience or interest in developing coding skills preferred
