Senior Fund Accountant - Credit-Focused Hedge Fund

Our client, a prominent credit-focused hedge fund based in Stamford, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team and support the launch and management of a new fund. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with both the investment and investor relations teams, focusing on the preparation of financial reports, NAV calculations, and investor reporting materials. Job Function

• Manage the firm’s relationship with the fund administrator to ensure the timely production of financial reporting packages and accurate NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations.
• Collaborate closely with the investment team to analyze the impact of potential changes to the fund structure, ensuring a seamless integration of new strategies.
• Assist the Investor Relations team in preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and other investor reporting materials.
• Calculate and maintain accurate investor capital balances, waterfall payments, and allocations for the fund, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all calculations.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Approximately 4-6 years of fund accounting experience, ideally focused on Credit investments
• Strong Excel and modeling skills
