Opportunity Details:
We are seeking a skilled general surgeon to cover 20-25 shifts monthly at a facility in Seneca, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience in bread and butter general surgery procedures, including appendectomy, gallbladder surgery, and endoscopies.
Responsibilities:
The general surgeon will be responsible for:
- Clinic Duties: Assess scheduled patients and determine the need for surgery; coordinate surgery schedules with the OR team.
- Procedures: Perform general surgery procedures, including but not limited to appendectomy, gallbladder surgery, and endoscopies.
- On-Call Duties: Provide 24-hour clinic and call shifts (minimum of 2 days per week).
Requirements and Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery.
- Pennsylvania State License (or willing to obtain).
- 1 year of experience preferred.
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPR, and PALS.
- DEA certification required.
Facility Information:
The facility uses Cerner and Epic EMR systems.
