Physician for General Surgery Coverage

The facility in Seneca, PA is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible general surgeon to cover 20-25 shifts monthly. The compensation package includes competitive hourly rates and a comprehensive benefits plan.

We are seeking a skilled general surgeon to work across a variety of clinical settings with a strong support team in place for both hospital-based and outpatient surgical care. The ideal candidate will have experience in bread and butter general surgery procedures, including appendectomy, gallbladder surgery, and endoscopies.

• Clinic Duties: Assess scheduled patients and determine the need for surgery; coordinate surgery schedules with the OR team.
• Rounding: Morning rounds with another surgeon and APP.
• Procedures: Perform general surgery procedures, including but not limited to appendectomy, gallbladder surgery, and endoscopies.
• On-Call Duties: Provide 24-hour clinic and call shifts (minimum of 2 days per week).

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery.
• Pennsylvania State License (or willing to obtain).
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPR, and PALS.
• DEA certification required.

The facility uses Cerner and Epic EMR systems.
