What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Supply Coordinator position at Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation?
Experience :
Prior experience working with the elderly and / or in long term care preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :
Strong oral and written communication and teaching skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with resident, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.
Central Supply Responsibilities :
Maintain a perpetual inventory of every item stocked in order to insure adequate levels of supplies.
Coordinate and facilitate the ordering of all medical and therapy supplies.
Ensure the inventory is consistent with the needs of all residents, based on physical
orders.
Requisition supplies as needed.
Properly storing supplies, including the rotation of stock with expiration dates.
Distribution of supplies to proper departments.
Coordinate the return of supplies and equipment to vendors for credit or exchange when necessary.
Control cost of ancillary supplies per budget.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality with respect to all employee information including but not limited to schedule preferences, rates, and payroll.
Comply with and promote adherence to applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the standard code of conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPAA.
Treat all residents with dignity and respect.
Promote and protect all residents’ rights.
Establish a culture of compliance by adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
Comply with standards of business conduct, and state / federal regulations and guidelines.
Follow appropriate safety and hygiene measures at all times to protect residents and themselves.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting and responses to compliance-related issues and monitors the implementation of corrective action plans related to such issues
