Job Title: Mobile Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary:
As a Mobile Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and repair work on-site at various locations. You will be tasked with delivering high-quality craftsmanship while ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on various materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) on-site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and weld materials.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
- Ensure all welding and fabrication work is performed to meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding and fabrication issues as they arise during the project.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors regarding project timelines, expectations, and challenges.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain safe working conditions at all times.
- Maintain professionalism while representing the company on job sites.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Clean driving record (for driving company vehicle to job sites).
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with expertise in MIG, TIG, Stick welding, and other techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (must be able to accurately read a tape measure).
- Ability to pass a welding test during the interview process.
- Must be punctual and reliable—consistent attendance is essential.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in welding or fabrication (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Previous mobile welding or on-site project experience.
- Experience in a variety of welding and fabrication materials and techniques.
Compensation:
- Pay is based on experience and capabilities. Competitive hourly rate, with potential for overtime depending on job demands.
