Telecommunications Officer/911 Dispatcher
Description:
Performs a variety of dispatch duties on behalf of the Whitesboro Police Department. Answers all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls; receives, prioritizes, and dispatches calls for Police/EMS/Fire and after-hours city services. Monitors radio traffic; documents all calls received and dispatched; operates various telecommunications equipment and software programs; performs other duties as assigned.
Applicant must have excellent customer service skills and must be able to stay calm and calm others in a stressful situation; must be clear thinking and have clear understandable speaking skills. Multi-tasking is essential.
No experience necessary - will train.
