GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Director of IT is responsible for the technological direction of WhiteStone. This position is responsible for budget proposals for projects and programs, purchases, upgrades, equipment replacement plans, and oversite for all IT projects.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Manage day to day information technology for community, ensuring availability and performance of infrastructure and systems.
  • Work with Director of Financial Services to oversee third party IT support company.
  • Provide data security for community including managing relationships with third parties for annual testing and scans of network and infrastructure.
  • Consult with administration and department managers in assessing and anticipating current and future technological needs. Provide solutions recommendations, including a business case, enabling the
  • community to be a technology leader in the industry.
  • Create policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of staff members and the community. Including cyber safety, confidentiality of data and information, and quality assurance with regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for IT conformance to the community’s HIPPA compliance requirements.
  • Create budget requests for capital projects as well as annual IT needs.
  • Provide support to department heads and staff for all software platforms.
  • Work with respective department heads and third parties for Wi-Fi, Cable, SARA System, Cameras, Copies and Printers etc. to ensure systems are working properly. Oversee any projects with third party partners for these areas throughout the community.
Other Duties:
1. Work throughout the community troubleshooting and provide services utilizing multiple IT applications on computer devices.
2. Support and maintain all Microsoft systems.
3. Serve as system administrator for adding, removing and maintaining users within an active directory.
4. Knowledge and understanding of the communities IT needs and create a plan for continued growth and support of the IT infrastructure.
5. Maintain inventory of equipment including computers, ELO screens, and printers.
6. Develop a customer service platform to serve the community including staff and residents. Create and manage an IT ticket system for staff and residents.
7. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Four Year Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with information technology project management and oversite.
  • Experience with budget procedures and project expense management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of server configuration, cyber security, Azure, Microsoft Office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical effort is minimal. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the workday is spent sitting, standing intermittently, and bending. Must be able to lift and carry up to twenty (20) pounds. Requires manual coordination to operate switchboard, computer, and other business equipment. Requires continuous mental and visual attention to diversified operations. Must be able to function efficiently despite distractions and interruptions. Communicates, in English, orally and/or in writing with residents, coworkers, families, and public.
