Job Summary:
This position is in Austin, Texas and will be a member of the Marketing and Logistics department. Responsibilities include invoice creation, distribution, and reconciliation of physical and financial natural gas transactions. Responsibilities also include assisting with the trade confirmations process as necessary. Position will additionally assist in counterparty setup and onboarding process.
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years relevant work experience preferably in Commodity Settlement
- Ability to apply strong diligence and multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, critical and economical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, grasp complex issues, as well as pay strict attention to details
- Allegro or similar ETRM experience
Responsibilities:
- Invoice creation, distribution, reconciliation, and settlement of physical and financial natural gas transactions
- Coordinate with counterparties to resolve invoice reconciliation discrepancies proactively and timely via collaboration with trading and scheduling
- Upload of Journal Entries created by monthly settlement process
- Administrate and reconcile discrepancies within the trade confirmations process as necessary
- Understand contract details, fees, rates, and payment schedules to ensure settlement and cash flow data produced by the ETRM is complete and accurate
- Maintain and onboard counterparty reference data within all relevant applications to ensure consistency across the entire platform
- Provide support to Accounting with regards to month-end accruals and AR/AP reconciliations
- Administrate counterparty onboarding process within ETRM
- Assist in preparation of any pertinent regulatory and tax filings
- Support data gathering efforts for financial audits and regulatory inquiries
- Assist in Special Projects and Financial Analysis as requested
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Commodity trading or marketing knowledge or experience preferred
