Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, interpret, maintain, and apply documented measurement data reconciliation policies and procedures
- Supervise, assist, and provide direction to employees performing measurement data processing activities
- Provide measurement expertise in troubleshooting issues with incomplete, invalid, or incorrect measurement data
- Develop tools and procedures for tracking and managing Loss and Unaccounted (L&U) exposure
- Identify opportunities for measurement accuracy improvement and collaborate with field operations to implement changes
- Act as subject matter expert for escalated Loss and Unaccounted (L&U) and prior period adjustments (PPA)
- Serve as the auditor and check for monthly close of measurement data with responsibility for measurement accuracy
- Utilize data analytics to predict trends and potential issues, allowing for proactive management
- Collaborate with technical groups and engineering to draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to measurement processes
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations related to measurement activities to internal leadership and external stakeholders as required
- Serve as Flowcal system administrator, including driving system upgrades and enhancements, and ensure reliable integration of field measurement data and pipeline transaction management systems
- Provide escalation assistance for measurement data disputes with 3rd party interconnect operators
- Responsible for month end data review and measurement close, ensuring all new projects are implemented in a timely manner
- Solicit feedback from field technicians and field leadership on data processing methods and interaction with analysts to ensure quality and timely analysis of measurement data
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, industry standards, and company policies regarding measurement data, reporting, and documentation
- Effectively communicate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment on measurement data, reporting schedules, and operational requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred
- 7 years of pipeline and natural gas measurement experience
- 3 years of experience as a Measurement Analyst with experience in Flowcal or similar application preferred
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a technical environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of natural gas measurement practices, ultrasonic meters, and gas chromatographs is preferred
- Strong knowledge of measurement data processing, volumetric reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements in the natural gas industry
- Experience developing or improving Loss and Unaccounted (L&U) tools, processes, and systems.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, experience generating pivot tables and multi-scale graphs in Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to natural gas measurement and reporting.
