JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. QUALIFICATIONS:
a. BS or Master’s in Accounting. Usually, three to six months on the job training is required.
b. Must be able to adjust to carrying out duties under specific instructions. Must attain precise standards of accuracy when verifying accounting entries.
c. Must demonstrate a preference for routine and organized activities to follow defined procedures for processing accounting information, and inputting this over the data processing means.
d. Must possess the ability required to detect and avoid errors in copying and computing
figures, and the physical ability to rapidly manipulate the adding machine when copying date
in tabulated forms.
e. Must be proficient in using a copier/printer and miscellaneous accounting machines as well as a PC
in inputting accounting and financial transactions on a daily basis. A working knowledge and
understanding of Excel are preferred.
f. Must be able to assess, distinguish, report and act upon the physical, social, developmental, and
environmental needs of all patients admitted to Whitfield Regional Hospital; and the knowledge to
provide age specific healthcare to adults, neonates, infants, adolescents, and geriatric patients,
where appropriate or necessary.
