What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development - Part Time position at Whitinsville Christian School?
The Director of Development reports to the Director of Advancement
Primary Objective - The primary objective of the Director of Development is to develop and implement strategies to increase consistent donor recruitment and engagement.
Fundraising
●Oversee and coordinate the WCS Annual Fund campaigns
○Direct solicitations for ad hoc fundraising for specific events
○Secure major sponsors for the Dutch Apple Sale and Spring Auction
●Provide a strategy for growth of the Cornerstone Society; the planned giving program
○Promote and provide education regarding the program, and respond to opportunities to establish charitable gift annuities and real estate commitments as they arise
●Oversee and collaborate in all capital campaigns and endowment growth
●Identify and recruit new donors through research and development of an action plan of solicitation
●Identify new sources of revenue through grants
Reporting
●Process all gift income through the reporting platform
●Thank donors through appropriate phone calls and/or letters, acknowledge all gifts (Policy 212), provide receipts and maintain giving records of donors to the school
●Assist with monthly reports to Development Committee and Head of School
Oversee Fundraising Events (Giving Day, Apple Pie Sale, Spring Auction)
●Collaborate with respective committees on overall initiatives to achieve fundraising goals
●Identify and recruit new volunteers and committee chairs as needed
●Serve as staff liaison with each committee
●Collaborate with Director of Advancement to create communications and promotion plan for events
●Oversee and promote Have a Seat Campaign
Salary : $35,000 - $50,000
