IT Technician
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following:
- Keeps inventory of all IT equipment accurately and orderly (printers, cameras, TV/monitors, computers, laptops, chrome books, etc.) in addition to maintaining accurate staff assignment records.
- Answering IT issues through IT ticketing system.
- Assist in updating the devices, Chromebooks, iPads, PC’s, etc. in all buildings.
- Assess, troubleshoot or repair minor hardware/software problems on all devices. Assist with all updates on all devices and systems when necessary.
- Participates in in-service training programs, as assigned.
- Document device problems; reporting unresolved issues or concerns.
- Communicate on a regular basis with other Tech Department personnel, administration and IT Management Company.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Understands importance of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Other duties or assignments that have been associated with this position.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Individual must be able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students and school employees.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Valid State Driver’s Licenses - Operator Permit.
