- Onsite - Internship
We are currently seeking an Intern to work with the Environmental team in our Richmond, VA office.
Responsibilities Will Include Providing Assistance With The Following Tasks
- State and federal environmental documentation (including NEPA preparation)
- Socioeconomic analysis (including environmental justice)
- Wetland delineations
- Environmental Compliance
- Stream assessments
- Threatened and endangered species habitat evaluations and surveys
- Clean Water Act Section 404/401 permitting
- Periodic travel (including overnight) may be required when assisting with field work, as needed.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning or similar field
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time accordingly
- Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
- Willingness to take on new challenges and learn more while working on these challenges
- Willingness to work in challenging outdoor environments, including high temperatures and steep terrain
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience working with ESRI ArcGIS software preferred
