About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and compassionate Activity Director to design and coordinate engaging programs and events for our residents. This role requires a detail-oriented and innovative professional who can bring joy to our community through daily, weekly, and monthly activities. As an Activity Director, you’ll manage logistics, gather feedback, oversee staff and volunteers, and ensure all events are safe, enjoyable, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly activities to promote socialization and recreation.
- Adapt programs to meet diverse resident needs, including those with special requirements.
- Manage event logistics, including schedules, advertising, budgets, and transportation.
- Supervise and motivate staff and volunteers to ensure successful events.
- Gather feedback, maintain records, and report any medical concerns.
- Adhere to and enact all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; certifications or experience in nursing, recreation, or event planning preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to meet the role’s demands, including standing, walking, and light lifting.
- First aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and early mornings as needed.
