What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Whitten Law Office, LLC?
Whitten Law Office LLC is a group of trial attorneys who focus their practices on, and service clients in, the transportation and logistics industry. From our offices in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, we actively practice in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and Illinois. Our Ohio office, which is based in West Chester (Cincinnati), Ohio, has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney who has three to eight years of insurance defense litigation experience (transportation/trucking defense experience preferred, but not required).
The successful candidate for this position must be licensed to practice in, and have experience with, personal injury defense litigation in state and federal courts in Ohio and Kentucky. The successful candidate will possess superior research and writing skills; will have experience drafting and responding to written discovery; will know how to conduct witness interviews and take and defend discovery depositions; and will know how prepare a case for trial. Flexibility for business travel is required.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid position, which consists of work in the office and remotely. We also will immerse the successful candidate in the transportation industry with opportunity to attend national training and networking seminars to develop business and meet transportation industry colleagues from around the country.
